Welcome to Expatairwaves.com

If you think telling your stories helps bridge cultural divides then Expatairwaves.com is for you.

Here is the site dedicated to the globally mobile - those who find themselves living offshore, or have now returned home to find all is not quite the same. We have changed, they have changed and here is the place to talk, write and explore the differences we encounter.

Expatairwaves.com is for Expats by Expats:  those who are leaving to face the unknown: different cultures, economies, languages - and perhaps most of all - themselves and others in offshore realms

and

Expatairwaves.com is for Repats by Repats: those who are returning, perhaps after many years away, to a land once so familiar but now strange enough that it seems like another new horizon, but one that echoes with memories, faces, smells, sounds, shadows and light - a distant dreaming place.

Expatairwaves.com hopes to attract those who are interested in supporting themselves and each other in creative, respectful ways, where different values are acknowledged and shared through poetry, prose, observations, reminiscence - through writing and discussion of their stories in a place where our stories count - a space dedicated to themes, issues, and experiences that impact the lives of globally mobile people who live for extended periods outside their national pond - a space that's beyond geography  - virtuality.

Please explore and enjoy.
